My name is Piergiovanni Salimbeni , i was born in Varese on 17 February .
I founded with Raffaello Lena the GLR Group in 1997. Nowadays I’m the coordinator on the branch relating the study of TLP (Transient Lunar Phenomena),and manage with the friend Fabio Lottero the updating of the website.

I follow a couple of surveys on the Astronomy Italian magazine “LE STELLE” managed by Margherita Hack, where I’m mainly applied to review about astronomical instruments. I observe and study the Moon, apart the instruments under my reviews, thanks to my affordable Celestron 8 inch. I realized a manual of Lunar Observations, wrote with Raffello Lena titled “Osservare la Luna”, a group of forty of articles on Italian and other country specialized magazines, (JALPO, Selenology..) and ten of conferences in the specific field of GLR. Now I’m finishing two manuals of practical astronomy for the magazine.

I’m living in small village near the border with Switzerland, with Jenny, pianist and violino student, Gundor a beautiful german sheppard and Mozart..a crazy cat.

My main interests are Classic and Lyric Music, Freeride(with Mountain bike), Body Building, digital photography, reading, Astronomical optics
