An our preceding  paper   concerning the 3 domes in Rima Birt has been publishe in ALPO Journal .
In our paper (  we showed the presence of 3 domes , two of them are bisected by the Rima itself.

The ALPO catalog was update on  21 October 1999 with the introduction of the dome corresponding at -161-349 (Xi and Eta coordinate).

Furthermore the GLR group has classified the dome as DW/2a/6f/9j using the Westfall scheme.

We noticed that the UAI Lunar Section  does not report any reference about GLR research of the domes field in the Rima Birt region in web site and in a short commuication published on the italian magazine Astronomia UAI (1, 2000).

We believe that our researches have shown already the morphology of these  domes.
Furthermore the

Journal provide a clear encoded description of the dome located at -161-349.

The confirmation of our study  has been obtained by several observers which submitted to GLR group new images.  The extension of the Rima Birt and the presence of the bisected domes is documented very well.
A next paper is in progress.

The new  CCD images and drawings  showed   the described Rima and the presence of three domes.
Inresting is the presence of the 2 rilles of Rima Birt complex. Amatorial
telescope can separate them.

Alessandro Bares, image made on Mewlon 250 mm - april 2, 2001 at 20:30 UT. Interesting image of the Rima Birt and its extension . This is a detailed image of the region showing the two rilles.

Piergiovanni Salimbeni, SCT 20 cm f/10 250x,  Rima Birt and the norther dome.

 Roberto Porta - on 14 March  2000 at 17.45 UT- SCT 8" (200mm f/10) at  250x
FILTERS  W8 (yellow). Rima Birt and domes.

Giorgio Mengoli Refractor  152 ED - Geometric deformation . In this frame is visible Rupes Recta and Rima Birt.

Conclusion
The Rima Birt  is irregulary and  has an offset in its mid-section; the our data show that the Rima could represent extension and faulting due to dike intrusion.
